ECLA of Bard, a Liberal Arts University in Berlin is officially recognised as a private university by the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Science (Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Jugend und Wissenschaft) in accordance with sec. 123 para. 1 of the Higher Education Act of the Federal State of Berlin [Berliner Hochschulgesetz – BerlHG].

Programme accreditation for the BA programme in Value Studies is currently underway with the accreditation agency ACQUIN and a decision is expected in Fall 2013.

Bard College is accredited through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (USA) and awards a BA degree to students completing ECLA of Bard’s BA programme in Value Studies under authority granted by the New York State Board of Education.
