Deadline II: March 15, 2013
Deadline III: May 1, 2013
We encourage all applicants to apply as early as possible. Students who will need a visa to study in Germany should apply by the first deadline in order to allow enough time for a visa application to be processed.
Admission requirements
Applicants are required to have a high school degree by the time they matriculate into the programme. BA students may be eligible to obtain both a German BA degree from ECLA of Bard and an American BA degree from Bard College. For admission to the German BA degree programme, students must have a high school qualification that is recognized by the German State as being equivalent to the Abitur. For information on the prerequisites, visit the database anabin.de (only available in German), or contact the Admissions Office.
ECLA of Bard's programmes are taught entirely in English. Therefore, applicants need to provide documentation of knowledge of English equivalent to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, e.g. TOEFL IBT: 90, IELTS: 6.5. See table below for a detailed list of equivalent test scores. If you have successfully completed one year of high school or university with English as the language of instruction, you do not need to submit an additional test.
