The true taste is in nature, and food is more than just filling the stomach. We at ECLA of Bard engage with these questions. It starts already with shopping for groceries. Choosing fresh, seasonal, and organic produce of high quality is of primary importance. In addition, we believe in treating fresh produce respectfully so that the natural variety of tastes and nutrients are preserved during the cooking.
We put a lot of heart in menu planning. Every week you will find a student's, professor's or staff member's favourite dish on the menu. This little contribution introduces members of the ECLA of Bard community to each other, creates trust, and generates ideas in the course of an academic year. And along the way the most interesting recipes from all over the world are shared. In order to accomplish this, we have a highly motivated and well-trained team, consisting of full professionals, as well as student assistants, who cook with full dedication and attention to detail.
The result: consistent food quality at a reasonable cost, which fosters health and well-being of all the members of the community and the ECLA of Bard guests.

Address and opening times
The dining hall is located in Waldstraße 70, a five minute walk both from the student dorms and the seminar buildings.
Lunch is the main meal on a weekday and brings together students, faculty and administration. To cater for all tastes and needs, different menus are offered each day.

Lunch 12.00 am – 1.30 pm
Dinner 6.00 pm – 7.30 pm
